I finally got my car back from having a new leafspring and bolt(see other posts) and I decided to (re)lower it myself since the dealer wouldnt leave it that way. the old bolt(only 1 year old)bushing is trashed. the extension on the bottom is totally gone and the bushing is rounder out. I assume the bushing is as old as the bolt.
What do the great corvette forum gods have to say? Polyurethene bushings? if so where do I order them from. Is it fine to drive it with the bushing not being able to center it self due to the no extension?
Any help appreciated!
oh! The rear. Anouther thing I noticed is that the driver side bolt stays perpendicular to the ground while the passenger side bolt angled with the spring(perpendicular to the spring)

Re: leaf spring bolt bushing question (abraham)
It sounds like they didn't get the spring centered, with the bolt angles not being the same on each side. The poly bushings are a cheap and easy upgrade. We've used both prothane and energy suspension and had good results with both.

I can get you the bushings, just email me.
As far as the spring being centered, yes it is very important. If it isn't centered your effective spring rate will be different from one side of the car to the other.
