Mine started doing that when on inclines, like on hills and steep driveways. I suggest you fill the reservoir up to where the black plastic part of the tank begins. I filled mine up just beyond that and the low coolant light stop coming on intermittantly. Mine started coming on only after I change to my 160* thermostat. Hope this works, good luck. :cheers:
There was a TSB issued for this problem. The 1997's involved replacing the surge tank/sensor with a second design part. The 1998 and 1999 were to have the second design tank, but it had to be repositioned.
