Need convertable staple block plastic strip
I have a 1998 convertible that we are putting a new rag top on. The old rag top attaches to the underside of the front lip of the convertible frame (that attaches to the top of the windshield) with staples into a riveted soft plastic black strip. That plastic strip had hardened after 20 years and when we try and pull out the staples to remove the old top the plastic strip disintegrates. Where can I get a new soft plastic strip so we can put on the new rag top?
