Default DIC replaced

Well I spent all day changing out my DIC on my 1997 corvette coupe. I bought it off E Bay and the seller said it works like new. Well it does not. I checked the wire harness out for continuity and all wires and the plugs were 100% good. Started the car up and all I get is the mileage that is on the car. Pushed every button and nothing, Held each button down for a few seconds and nothing. Does any one have any ideas or suggestions on what I should try or do next so I can get this working. Thanks for any and all help.

Is the cluster you bought from a 97? I been told you have to keep year to year. Cant mix n match.

I have a 2000 and bought a 98 cluster and had sort of the same issue. Bought a 2k cluster and no issue.

I just installed a 2000 cluster as well because of a faulty DIC with no problems. Maybe the DIC in the new cluster has a burnt chip in it as well.

Well I just found out that I have to change out my cluster on my 97. I have 2 DIC's and neither one works so it is the cluster. Must be a common problem. Have not got one yet but will let everyone know what happens and how it goes.
