Anyone lose DIC and gauges
While driving today I lost all instuments except fuel, and all DIC. HUD still works and fuses are ok. Anyone else have this happen? 01 coupe a4

I have lost the DIC and guages/tach when programming the computer. Try disconnecting the battery for a minute and see if it comes back.
If that fixes it make sure your battery isnt leaking, I'm not sure what year they put the newer AGM batteries in so yours may already have one.

The AGMs were installed starting in 2001. I have a friend that recently lost all dash function on a cruise (also went to reduced power), and then, one by one things started coming back. They took the car (2002) to their dealer and I'm almost sure the PCM was replaced by the dealer without question. Good luck to you and I hope your car is still under warranty.

I lost the gauges (they all read 0) when the right side window sensor went out... The window would not roll up or down. Good thing it happend at home and not out 100 miles away in a rain storm. :eek:

Thanks for replys everone. It goes to the dealer Tuesday, and yes it is under warrenty. I drove it a short ways Saturday and the dic and gauges flickered on a few times, almost like a lose connection. We'll see.

It happened on my 00 a couple moths ago, took it to dealer (warranty) and they replaced ..damn, I can't remember the name of it, the name is on the receipt, the car is in the storage (extra) garage 20 minute ride away...some kind of body sensor? They had told me they needed to check every "pin" connection in behind the dash.
