C5 Radio upgrade
Has any one had a double din unit with new speakers and amp installed in their C5. If so who did you use and what was the cost. I just talked to a company and they want $3500, that seems crazy.

That sounds high to me, but I do all of my own stereo installs and it depends on the name brands used, so I can't give a pay a shop to do it price. I installed a new head unit, door speakers with tweeters, quarter speakers and a 12 inch sub in a ported box on a compact 5 channel amp, and put in sound deadener over the entire floor pan and inside the door panels late last summer for less than $1000.00 Crutchfield is very helpful with disassembly and wiring instructions. I used a jvc head unit, fosgate components, sub and a precision power amp, sounds 1000 times better than the BOSE setup.

pioneer 4200, double din from vettenuts also had it leather wrapped,kicker speakers, front and rear cameras.around $1200.00 plus theprice of dd. work done by K-Powered in palm springs, ca.
