Default help with wiring issues

hiya gents - newish guy here, picked up a c5z a few months ago and trying to sort a few glitches. got the car w an aftermarket wheel installed, and have come to realize neither the windshield washer nor the horn work. no surprise on the horn given wheel.. looks like the jabronie that installed it just clipped wires. =/

re washer - i have searched but haven't found the silver bullet. stalk switch works (wipers come on, which means fuse is good (also verified). pulled the pump and checked w 12v - pump is good. i get no 12v at the pump connector when i push the switch. so the question is - what else is in the loop? any connectors anyone knows about before i start pulling things apart? anyone know if there's tricks to this problem / fix? anyone know which wire coming out of the switch is the trigger? is it possible for the switch to fail such that the wipers work and the washers don't (can't imagine but you never know)?

Re horn: anyone happen to know which wire is the horn trigger? i see red, green, purple and black coming in from the right side of the column and running into the front of the hub. i can't figure out how to get the top plastic trim piece off and am afraid to break it. to trigger the horn, I'll run a separate button on the wheel, with an external wire and disconnect (the wheel is on a quick release hub) to trigger it.

I'm guessing the clipped wires (white + teal) were for the airbag..

if anyone has a wiring diagram that would be a huge help!

thanks guys!

jim

Hello and welcome !!...it’s a good idea to put as much info as possible about your car in the profile section...that way down the road if you have any issues it’s nice to know what you have as far as mods etc !!...the C5 does have slight wiring differences year to year !!
