Default Another 2004 coupe question --

As you all can tell from my string of posts, I'm deep into addressing several issues with my '04 at the same time.

To recap: I needed to pull the steering rack to replace it with a rebuilt unit, and needed to address what sounded like a failing AC compressor clutch bearing. Since I am going to replace the power steering pump, too, and I knew that at least one upper ball joint, one front wheel bearing and all four shocks needed to be replaced (and along the way noticed weeping from the thermostat housing), I made my life easier by removing the front fascia (needed realignment after some poor fit-up by a body shop anyways), radiator support (needs some work with my welder), radiator shroud, steering knuckles, etc., etc. -- basically, there is nothing left in front of the engine besides the front edge of the cradle and the crash bar across the front of the frame rails.

So, my latest Q: When I took the front spring off, I was amazed at the poor condition of the spring bolts -- totally rusted, to the point that the hex at the top of the bolt was a round blob of rust. The threaded shafts are not much better, and the rubber pads are in poor shape, too. After a bit of cleaning, I found the hex under both rust blobs. Any suggestions for removing the bolts (I have replacements on the way)? I have little doubt that trying to rotate them with that small hex will only result in completely rounding off the hex.
