I know this has been beaten to death and I have done as much research as possible, but I wanted to get some advise. I got a check engine light on my ride home last night and when I checked the codes, it came up as P0410 AIR System. So I started by checking the fuses and sure enough, the 20A Maxi Fuse was blown. So I replaced it and started the car back up. With in 4 seconds, the fuse was blown again. I'm now guessing it is the Air Pump that is causing the issue. The next task would be to pull it off and test it with a 12v battery to see if it is working properly. Is there anything I'm missing here or need to check before I pull this pump out?
Most likely a pump... a lot of air pumps in different GM lines suffer from "water intrusion" issues which isn't good for the pump !!...it throws the P0410 not because of the pump being inop but because the PCM did not see the O2 sensors go lean during the test !!
Thanks for the reply C5 Diag. Its interesting, I'm having a hard time finding another pump to replace it with. Everyone I have called so far is either "Out of Stock" or discontinued. Any idea where I can get one for a reasonable price?

Mine is a 99. With everything I have seen, the 97-99 is different than the 2000-2004's. The GM part number I found is 24505066. That part number started all the way back in 94 with the C4 and carried through to 99. Thank you for the offer Smoken1, but I'm not sure it would fit.
I'm thinking about just deleting it and getting the codes tuned out. It seems to be a fairly common thread on here when dealing with the AIR pump. I guess I would need to figure out who could tune out the codes, and then how to block off the holes on both sides of the block.
I just spoke to Carolina Auto Masters who is going to create a tune for me to remove the Check Engine light related to the P0410 that I'm getting with the A.I.R. pump. I also found the covers for the hole in the manifold last night and ordered a pair. Thanks for everyone's help on this. I am learning a lot for a newbie!
Same here. I purchased one from Ebay. I pulled the AIR system off last night so waiting on those to show up so I can pull the car out and do other needed things.
