Ive posted on tuning and here about starting issues and I’ve figured out its coming from the cam sensor. I’ve changed over from an ls6 to a ls2 based 402 so the sensor has been relocated to the front timing cover. The cars been throwing a code which I should have checked first off but made the assumption it was because tuning had just started. The code showing is Camshaft Position Sensor A Curcuit High ( Bank 1 or single sensor). Before tearing into things I thought I’d see what others had to say. I have pick up a new sensor and no change. I purchased a harness for relocation and the sensor has a extension piece which mounts to the front of the timing cover to allow easy plug in. I’ve concidered wiring directly to the sensor instead of using the extension thus removing on connector. Anyone had issues or thoughts, next would be to pull the intake and check that connection.
Hi Rich !!...got your PM !!
First thing is your LS2 cam reluctor a 1X like your LS6 ?? ...your '03 PCM is expecting to see a 1X reluctor. I can only find the camshaft signal wire color which is a brown/white wire.(Pin 73 C1 PCM connector). I can't find the B+ and sensor ground in my '03 PCM pin out...Follow this video (saves a lot of typing)...with key ON connect voltmeter to B+ and sensor ground...should read 12 volts. Connect red lead to brown/white and black lead to a GOOD ground...follow video and run piece of metal across sensor...sensor should go from 0-12 and 12-0 volts !!...any questions let me know !!
