Default Frankenstein Engine Dynamics Camshafts?

Okay so I’m still weighing my options with cams. The top contender is still a BTR stage 3. My goal is to have a streetable cam-only setup that will make hopefully around 415whp. My car dyno’d 363whp on just headers and an air filter. Hoping to also add a CAI and maybe a throttle body. The car is a 2004 so it also has 241s and the ls6 intake.

I stumbled on FED and have heard nothing but positive feedback on their heads and cams. I’m looking at their cam at the following link: https://frankensteined.net/shop/fed-ls1-camshaft/

to save you a click it’s a 235/240 112+3 .361/.347

ive only been able to speak with one person running it, but they love it, and said it made better power than a larger cam they were running prior.

My question is has anyone else run this cam? I’m not the most knowledgeable on cams, does this seem like a good spec for a street car? I’m pretty tolerant when it comes to driveability, but I don’t want anything that’s going to absolutely be a pain in the *** either.

My biggest priorities here are that power goal and maintaining at least half decent drivability. If it bucks or surges mildly, I’m not going to throw a fit.

And yes i will be springing for pushrods and a nice fancy valvespring setup

those lift numbers must be a typo, .361/.347 is quite a bit less lift than the stock cam

Perhaps that is lobe lift, not valve lift. 1.7 rocker ratio correct?

yeah you're probably right, most advertise valve lift so that was my first thought... lift would be .614/.590 and that sounds more like it

I made 416 on a Mustang Dyno with a BTR stage 2 cam and ported 243 heads.

This is just my opinion, but I can't see investing in a quality cam and using stock 241 heads. It's leaving too much on the table.

That being said, if I had unlimited funds, I've seen enough out of Frankenstein that I would have no problems giving them my money.
