Door Window Seal removal?
Good evening all,
I am in the process of attempting to remove the Door Window Seal Molding.
Driver side door top outer window glass seal to be exact. It appears that it
is secured across the seal with no screws just pressed into place with rubber like grommets.
Do these need to be drilled out?Any input would be greatly appreciated..thanx in advance.

There is one screw in the front of the door. Remove that screw and then push or tap the seal rearward. The seal is held in slots in the door. The slots have a larger hole to the rear of each slot. As the seal goes rearward, the tabs on the seal will
line up with the holes and you can disengage the seal from the slots. Take your time. The seal will move about 1-1/4” to the
rear. You do not have to remove the door panel. I did remove a couple of the plastic buttons that hold the weatherstrip to the door frame near the seal.
BTW, I was going to replace the seals. They were ugly looking due to the finish on the seals being sun baked. Just for the heck of it I sprayed them with black plastic dip. It came out great on my car. Saved $100.
