Default Projection headlight install

I can see now why they say professional installation is recommended for these. No problem getting the old housings out and new housings in. But getting the wiring harnesses matched up is a nightmare. Anyone know of a shop anywhere south of Houston that will install these a a reasonable price? I'm about used up trying to figure this out.

Thanks

Wiring should be the easiest part...unless you didn't get a plug n' play harness with your kit? If you got the kit from a vendor here, it should have come with one. If you got them somewhere else, you may have to source a harness, I'm not sure.

Plugs are all connected properly. Passenger side headlight and Highbeam will not illuminate the halo works. All of the lights on the driver side work everything is hooked up identical on both sides. Has to be a problem with the assembly or the wiring harness that was sent with the kit. I even changed out the bulbs. Made no difference.

Didn't know they were the halo versions....I'm guessing you got them from the auction site. No clue how those are wired unfortunately. But I'm with you, your problem sounds like a relay issue. If everything else works but one side, I'd try replacing the relay first.

Sure thing. If you got a ballast and bulb kit with it, the bulbs should be usable, but do yourself a favor: set the cheap ballasts aside for spares (or trash them) and spend an extra $50 for a reasonable quality set of ballasts. I like the Acme Speedy Starts from TRS. I finally got around to replacing the cheap "55w" ballasts that came with the kit I purchased from a vendor here with the Acmes (35w btw) I had on another car and I was shocked by the improvement. And now I can actually see...if your kit came with ballasts/bulbs, I'd bet money they're the same/similar quality ballasts. Please forgive the mess, but this is JUST a swapped ballast (Acme 35w on the driver, cheap 55w on the passenger)

These are the bulbs I bought to replace the ones in the kit. I’ll look into the ballasts. Thanks again.

If you bought halogen bulbs, you won't have ballasts. Honestly, you're not likely to notice any actual lighting improvement with the new projectors as long as you're still using regular old halogen bulbs.

well that’s what they came with. Actually I like the looks of the housings too over the stock ones. I’ll probably upgrade down the road. So do you think the problem with the one light not working is a relay?

That's my guess if the entire side isn't working.
