Drivers side window binds going down.

Drivers side window binds going down.
My new to me 01 Z06 on occasion has the drivers side window bind when going down. I removed the door panel and the mechanism seems to work ok, but I can see the little pulley towards the top and rear of the door causing the bind. It’s almost as if when it spools up with the cable, it presses outward on the window itself. On the window there are visible signs of this contact...
I have attempted to tighten the retaining nut that holds it to the inner door panel, and that seemed to work for a short time, it’s not loose, but today it bound up again and the only way to get it to work is to go up and down a few times to finally get the window moving. The first time this happened I had to physically ‘help’ the window by grabbing it. The motor works fine...
anyone ever have this issue?
