Default LS7 build questions

Hey all,

I just finished building my LS1 and got so excited with the gain in power in my 01 vert, that I decided to build an LS7. I have the block crank and heads already. I want to do a wet sump and I am going to use use custom Mahle pistons as my bore is 4.140 finished honed and steel 6.125 con rods in lieu of the stock Ti rods. That being said, I will be getting my rotating assembly re-balanced and I am having a 24T reluctor installed.. My question is this, should I have .886" milled off the snout for the wet sump setup and stick with a non LS7 balancer or should I just use the SD spacer with the LS7 balancer? I intend to keep the car until I die since I have owned it for 18 years already and it won't be going back to a dry sump so I don't care about going backwards...

Mill the front of the crank. It’s easy for the machine shop to do while they have all the parts for balancing.
