Seems like most headers offered for the C5 are 1-3/4". Does anyone run 1-7/8"? Maybe I'm used to my c6's but I just assumed 1-7/8" would be standard size for the C5 as well.
Edit***
Seems like the TSP headers are 1-3/4. Those were the main ones I was looking at. Thinking I'll wait and find a set of kooks or ARH 1-7/8" used.

I’ve also seen a lot of 3/4. I think 7/8 is reserved for those who a running big power upgrades. I’ve been looking at tsp as well. Kooks is almost double the price.

I just assume if I'm going to buy a set and install them... might as well go 1-7/8" IMO. I found a company (TPS Motorsports) that makes nice headers for the C5 in 1-7/8" with O/R midpipe included for $899. They seem to have several good reviews.
Speed Engineering also has some good reviews for a set of budget headers. According to some reviews you should either get most of the x-pipe welded or buy a set of quality clamps along with some copper RTV on the joints and toss the clamps provided in the kit.
The new designed XS power headers are the absolute best budget options out there in my opinion and rival the expensive brands. Here's a link to a review of mine. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...d-results.html

I saw a lot of good reviews and then a lot of bad reviews on XS power headers but I'm assuming they've fixed their issues?
I'm just trying not to throw a ton of money at this car. I've always loved the C5 Z and I bought it for a daily driver as fuel mileage is pretty good considering the power and they are comfortable to drive. I got a good deal on it so I'm not trying to spend a ton of money on the highest quality parts like I would on a dedicated toy. Just trying to do some bang for the buck mods to make the car sound good and run a little better so its more entertaining to drive. 😎

where did you pick these up? Can’t seem to find them in stock anywhere.
Anyone know the average hp pick up with lt and catted x pipe? I’ve heard about 30hp max. $2k for kooks seems steep for just 30hp.
without a heads / cam / intake setup your looking at 10-ish and maybe a few more with the required tune. They are a necessity if you cam it, port your heads, etc. honestly not worth it at all until you need them for your build.
I'd like to find a deal on a used set of kooks or ARH headers and O/R X. If not... I'll likely buy a TPS set. Shows they tuck up so you wont drag them all over like some of the other brands, they look to be built well and fit well too.
Picked up 27 hp with kooks long tubes, HP gains come at a high price and unfortunately there is probably no return on mods when you sell.
I'm assuming you got it tuned after your headers were installed? If so, a large portion of that HP can be attributed to your tune assuming you are void of any new accompanying mods.
27 rwhp is definitely nothing to dismiss regardless of the source. Just don't want someone to get motivated by the thought of bolting on almost 30 rwhp with headers and get some lean cylinders by not getting it properly tuned.
What is “tps”? I assume you’re talking about Texas speed?
No... I have Texas speed on my other car but that's an option as well. Look up TPS headers. Theres a thread on here about them and they seem to have good reviews.

"TPS" is awfully close to "TSP", I can see the confusion. I've never heard of TPS headers before until now I guess. I have TSP (Texas Speed Performance) 1-3/4"
