Help...Code 10-P0410 and P1416, (Air System B),I do have headers installed.
Code P0410 is Air System-B, and code P1416 is Air System Bank 2-B. Does this mean there is a problem with the air getting from the pump to the headers. I have installed B&B Shorties, but they hooked up fine to the stock air pipes. My Questions: 1. Is this drivers or passenger side? 2. What sensor would trigger this? 3. What should I do to fix this? Who can help me with this?

The 1416 is an 02 sensor on the passenger side of the engine. It has something to do with emissions when the engine is first fired up. The common problem is they get moisture in them and rust up and stop opening and closing. This sends a bad reading to the PCM and triggers the code. It needs to be replaced. Won't hurt the engine, you will just be passing more emissions when the engine is cold. I doubt your headers have anything to do with it. Had both my sensors replaced at the dealer though I was only throwing the passenger side code. I believe the driver side can be replaced without removing the intake but it has to come off to replace the passenger side. Don't know what the PO410 code is.

OK I'm confused, I thought the AIR system had to do with the air injection pump. In the codes list, they mention the AIR solenoid and the AIR pump. I,m still thinking this has do do with air injection....anybody.......

Check all the AIR connections and header bolts. If everything seems secure, the passenger side valve(it's actually between the intake manifold and firewall) needs to be replaced. Sorry I can't help you on the P0410 code.

Supercharged, I have had the same code P0410 appear 2 times in the last 3 months. I reset it and it goes away for a couple of months and then just comes back. I have not had any feed back from the forum as to what is causing the code. Good luck.

Here is some info from my 2001 service manual that may help:
Circuit Description
An AIR pump is used on this vehicle to lower tail pipe emissions on start-up. The powertrain control module (PCM) supplies a ground to the AIR pump relay, which energizes the AIR pump.
The PCM monitors the heated oxygen (HO2S) sensor voltages in order to diagnose the AIR system.
During the AIR test the PCM activates the AIR pump during closed loop operation. When the AIR is activated, the PCM monitors the HO2S voltages and the short-term fuel trim values for both banks of the engine. If the AIR system is operating properly, the HO2S voltages should go low, and the short-term fuel trim should go high.
If the PCM determines that the HO2S voltages for both banks did not respond as expected during the tests, DTC P0410 sets. If only 1 sensor responded, the PCM sets either a DTC P1415 or P1416 in order to indicate on which bank the AIR system is inoperative.
Thanks for the info. What I understand the manual to say is that it is a code that should be set when starting, because it is looking for heated O2 at start up. Both times the code have been set were while driving and not during start up. The engine was hot. At least I know if I reset it, it won't be causing any problems to the engine and is only an emissions problem. The next time it comes back I will get it into the shop for repair since it is still under warranty. Now I hope it comes back sooner than later so I can get it repaired.
Thanks,

I had the same problems after I installed my B&B shorties too. I got the same codes along with the P1415 (driver side). I replaced the A.I.R. pump plus both check valves. All of the codes came back after a couple of weeks! I honestly believe that it was some kind of coating possibly on the new headers. (No I didn't use silicone sealer on the O2 sensors!) Eventually the codes have gone away. :D
You need to change the air valve.
Itis a black check valve that goes into the exaust manifold.
one side screws into a tube it the manifold the other has a hode clamped to it.
I have only had my vette for 2 days now so I only see the one on the drivers side but I had the same problem on my ls1 TA.
Its ~ $40 for the part.
There are block off plates available that should be used when installing headers they limit the amount of exaust to the valve preventing fluttering and extending the life of the valve. Its an easy do it your self fix.
If i find the link to the block off plates Ill post.
They basically make the hole to the valve smaller.
