Default What EWP is everyone using?

Wrapping up my H/C/I upgrade with the final supporting mods I need to complete it. To stir the pot I’m gonna add that I’m not going with the under drive pulley. I just don’t see the cost benefit vs HP. But, if there’s a more substantial harmonic balancer I could get, say an OEM balancer for a LS6? I’ll probsbly go with that.

Now, I was encouraged to go through summit for the EWP. But there’s a few to choose from. All from $430 to $7ish. I’m happy to pay the latter if need be. I’m not sure which I need exactly or what everyone’s having good success with.

The Meziere modular electric water pump WP346S goes for $432.27. Rated for 55gpm.

Is this suitable for my upgrade ?
P
AFR 220cc heads mamofied
Johnson slow leak down lifters
YellaTerra roller rockers with 10m bolt upgrade
Fast 102 intake Mamofied
Nick Williams 102 TB
Custom grind comp cam through Tony Mamo
36lb injectors

Thanks
-Mark

Meziere wp319 is the one I’m running, I think the part number you have is for a Ford, the wp119 will work also

is it your daily driver? The more I do research rather than be lead to purchase optimal parts ver batum of the encouragement of people. Which is fine but as far as a daily driver with the primary concern being longevity and put together properly. It’s starting to look like more of an ideal benefit for a race car and squeezing some extra numbers of HP during dyno tune.

With the horizon fast approaching to finishing. I’m scratching supporting mods that seem like over kill. The under drive pulley being the first. And strongly considering scratching the EWP to free up the cost of both for the best clutch possible. Which I’ve been quoted by TM as $2800. That’s an upgrade I need no convincing it’s HP increase and performance is substantial. I know my factory clutch is gonna get smoked rite off this upgrade after a short time.

It’s not my daily but gets driven and raced often, if your talking about the Mamo rps clutch then I would rather put the money towards it, I have that clutch also and it will give you more gains than the ewp, the water pump is an easy mod that can be done anytime

Regarding EWP, that’s a good point...Yes it is. But Christ, 2,800 🤦 Happy to pay it though. Can’t put some cheap Micky mouse clutch behind this thing now. Not to say I haven’t looked lol. Almost picked up a “Luk” brand clutch. Heard nothing but good reviews. It is an OEM quality. But the cheap cost was alarming enough. Ported oil pump-Mamo.. LS2 Timing chain and clutch is all that remains to get together. Took so much longer than I had originally anticipated. With 80 degrees today in NJ and May a week away. It’s time to get this thing done!!
