Reason: grammar
Well here's the thing. The next day after he dropped the car off i started to get traction control / abs codes. The code was for RR sensor fault. so after a couple weeks of resetting i decided to take a look at the sensor and i saw the wire was frayed , so when i took the tire off to fix the wire i saw that tube for the first time. Since i fix the wire i don't have anymore codes popping up. So what ever this is for it's not setting off any codes. Or i might have to go through so many cycles to set a code but so far nothing. I put over hundred miles already. Here's where i found the stuff. It's in front of the rear tire. Since the liner is gone i stuck my hand down in the rocker and pulled that stuff out. I was looking for mabey a hose or somtehing that could shine light on where that tube connected to. But i just found the damaged parts.
Upon removing the right rear wheel and wheel house liner, you may see the scope of the damage...I suspect you may find that the Tank Vent Lines are damaged to include the CANISTER, EVAP unit badly damaged....Boxed in red below

The inner liner is gone. Its wide open. If there was something there it's all wiped out. Where is that canister located??

Yeah I hear you. I wouldn't have done it this way either If i damaged a friends car. But we are differently going to have some words.
Nice "friend".....and GOOD LUCK finding those parts! I doubt that they're parts that any GM supplier/dealer has lying around, on their shelves.
Yes u r right. Discontinued parts
As long I'm not getting any codes I'm going to leave it. Already been through 2 tanks of gas and nothing is showing up. And car is over 1000 hp. As long as no codes pop up I'm good with it. But in the mean time I'm going to try and find the parts. Another thing is I'm not getting any gas smell. Maybe it's because I'm running E85.
Well with the help of 69 [ goose] he found one on Ebay and I just purchased it. It will be here Friday. Wow what luck. Thanks very one for your help. since I'm going through this bs I'm going to tell my friend the part and to fix it was 300 bucks.
Part was 28 bucks
I'll update if he pays me
Well I found out what happened. Friend took my car for a drive and he said he was in a tight left turn and went over a big dip in the road and it tore the inner liner out. So he removed what ever was left and didn't tell me. My tires rubbed because it's tubbed and have big DR's on it. So I have no clue what components, where they are located or what they look like.
Does anybody have pictures of what it looks like??? I searched but couldn't find anything.
Reminds me of that old saying: "Friends don't let friends drive their Vette"

Call Larry at 20th street auto. They part out corvettes, and he should have everything.
Plus, he is in Phoenix, and hardly any weather there, and no road salt.
Parts should be pristine.
602-258-2020. They ship world wide.
