Re: FLP Stage IV users... Chime in here.... (indypace78)
I personally do not have an FLP tranny, however, I know serveral people who do and they have been very happy with Chuck's work. I have been to their shop several times and have talked to Chuck and he would definately be the person I would choose to build my tranny. I think you will find many favorable responses here.
I had an Art Carr tranny in one of my other cars and it worked well, but that was a few years ago.
FLP IV is the choice of many f and y body guys who want the best.
Nitrovette will find this thread and post I bet :D :D

I think the FLP Level IV is the best tranny you can get. Its a world of difference b/w the FLP and the stock unit. The speed and the firmness of the shift is unbelievable. If you plan on adding alot of power, it is a definite must. My stock unit gave up after 7000 miles of heads and cam power. Give Chuck at FLP a call, he will answer any questions you have.

I have been running one for about two months and about 100 drag races with not one problem. You know you have something unique when you are running 13 lbs of tire pressure and your automatic tranny chirps your 11.50 X 16 Mickey Thompson ET Streets shifting into 2nd gear at WOT at the drag strip on sticky treated asphalt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WOULDN'T HAVE IT ANY OTHER WAY!

I live about one hour from FLP they did my tranny in-shop. I think the "shift kit is built in" to the rebuild along with super heavy duty clutches, bands, planetaries, shafts and other "secrets" created by Chuck!

Keith:
I have spoken to Chuck last week, when I "thought" I may be having tranny problems..
He builds in the TRANSGO kit. 2 spacers.
I think my issues were from TC kicking in slightly (even thought the TC/AH was OFF), when I used a set of drag radials that weren't balanced properly, and they started to shimmy & shake down the track... It held me in gear we believe, and since I didn't get up to the proper rpm's, my tranny didn't shift...
So I won't need the FLP Level IV yet, but if I have any other problems, I may go for it.
Re: FLP Stage IV users... Chime in here.... (indypace78)
Shifts at WOT are beyond tight/crisp, they are rock solid hard and fast. Yet under normal driving conditions (then again WOT may be normal :D ) it shifts like the stock tranny. This is the best of both worlds.
