Can someone please share with me, what I can expect to pay for this repair. Both of them, ac works fine, no cold air inside, super cold on firewall side. I've pulled Bart cable off, fuse off. One time temp felt better after the fuse pull.
Really? I know the doors are about $40 to $60 a piece. Is there a link on dash removal?
It's been a while, maybe I'm underestimating the cost. Seems like I got them for $30 each on ebay though. As for instructions, I just started removing hardware. It's all pretty straight forward.
Corvette Masters in Maitland has great reviews -- but is very small and quite busy. Give them a call to see what their schedule looks like, (407) 831-3990. I have not used them personally, and did my door actuators myself. I will argue that changing them is quite difficult. Dash removal is not a walk in the park, and when you have the dash out, bear in mind that the driver's side actuator and passenger side actuator use the mounting holes in different configurations -- drove me crazy for an hour or 10...

Do you have manual AC or Dual Zone CC? They are not the same actuator and the DZ are twice as much. More like $90 each or $100.
Obviously opinions vary about the difficulty of this job. I find it not a big deal, but then I just got done tearing out the rear suspension, trans and diff in mine. I was able to do mine without removing the dash, if you can believe it. But it was NOT easy that way. Need to be rather skinny and flexible to be down there that long and reach the screws, but it can be done. Regardless, I'd swap them myself.
The cost difference it complete horse****. They are the exact same part with a few pins moved and a pot in one for position feedback. Truly a $0.05 part if that, it's criminal. If someone made replacement gears for in em they could sell them and you could swap em in for next to nothing. But they don't.
Someone needs to start making replacement gears in brass or aluminum like the headlights. I opened up the assembly, and replacement would be super simple.
