Yes, I'm another person wondering about this. and yes, I've searched the forums and watched videos about how to do it.
What I'm wondering is, can I somehow suck the fluid out from the glass/mirror/fluid sandwich without having to take it out of the black plastic frame? My fear is that I'd break the frame or the mirror glass upon disassembly.
I have seen a few electrochromic mirrors for sale (expensive), but I am betting since it is a common failure, my replacement one would fail at some point too. So my goal is simply to make purple/yellow color to go away, possibly without having to purchase anything. I don't care about the auto dimming feature and I've heard it doesn't do much anyway. I do want the heat to work. I don't think there is a need for new mirror glass. I also think the stick on ones won't look good since I'll see the edge and also the heat won't work.
The mirrors are fantastic when they are new. No way to repair them when they fail. I purchased a stick on existing mirror from e bay and it works fine. Wish they were not so expensive as I would rather have the echromatic mirror function. Here is the link and they are fine mirrors.https://www.ebay.com/itm/B835L-97-04...53.m1438.l2649
