Can I use my stock cats with LT headers? What are the drawbacks if any?

Yes, without issue.....Some LT headers come as a complete package and in some cases have a catless option. I still use my stock cats with my long tube headers. You will need to cut your intermediate pipe in some cases to mount up your headers to your stock cats and catback...

Draw backs would be making less power than going catless or using high flow cats.

I heard that all cats are high flow. And it doesn’t make any difference. But hey, I’m no expert.

Definitely not the case. Ceramic vs metalic. 100 cell vs 600 cell. Plenty of variables.

Definitely not, but you’re pinching horsepower pennies at that rate. The added restriction of the stockers versus high flow units is probably about 2-5hp (unless they’re clogged). If you’re not going for a max effort big power setup, then you won’t be able to tell the difference.

I personally can't stand a cat-less setup after having one a few years ago.
The slight restriction can be made up for in other places in my opinion.
If I did headers, I'd use JBA's which come with specific cut pipes that allow you to utilize the stock cats in their stock location.

By using the JBA set up you keep the stock cats, but if you have an 2000 to 2004 model it will delete the little pup-cats or pre-cats which is a win-win in my book.

Its also worth noting that 2002-2004 Z06 models had the least restrictive exhaust of any model, do to redesigned cats and the better flowing Z06 mufflers starting in 2001.
The cats were the best flowing and still met emissions over any of the other models which needed the pre-cats.

Coming from a guy that currently is running catless, I have to agree with torchred. I am on a "max-effort" N/A setup journey and my car is not a DD, so I just deal with it. The louder exhaust as a result isn't an issue for me (I like that part), but the smell and added black soot on the back of my car after driving for a while gets pretty old...

But it sounds like the OP isn't considering going catless so the argument is null.
