Default C5 Corvette with LED headlights issues

So I ordered some beamtech LED headlights for my 2002 C5. Install was super easy and took just a few minutes to put them in. Light output is very good compared to the yellow of my stock bulbs.

Here is the issue: with the headlights turned off they won't go down. It looks like the bulbs have a little bit of current going to them as they are still on but very dim. Also with the key out of the ignition there is a dash light that says 'security' and a rapid dinging sound. I've also noticed the heads up display doesn't look right. Is this a resistor issue? What can I do to fix it besides taking the LED bulbs back out?

None of these issues were there prior to plugging in the LED lights last night.

Flip your brights on, then switch the lights off. See if that works.

What USAZR1 said. I installed LED headlight bulbs, LED Halos, and a hyperflash harness all at the same time so I never had the problem I'm assuming due to the harness.

I bought my little brother a set of the LED headlight bulbs when he got his 99 C5, and he had your exact issue(actually still to this day), we figured out that you just activate the highbeams real quick first, and then turn on the lights and it's an easy workaround.

I bought Auxbeam brand LED headlights on a recommendation from a friend. He never had this problem, and neither have I. In fact, I didn't even know this was an issue until I joined the forum. No extra resistors, headlight switch dances, or anything extra here. Just plug and play with the extra benefit of their built in fans

What year is your car? Any chance you have a link of what you bought? Thanks.

Haha yes, I read and lurk a lot but don't really post but I really appreciate the help. In fact turning the highbeams on and off did the trick. If need be I can install the resistors, seems simple enough.

Guys, the car is a 2002 and I originally bought a set off of Vette Lights but the tabs were problematic for me, so I picked up a BeamTech set from
Amazon Amazon

Here is what the foglights and the headlights look like with the LED bulbs.

I was wondering how the Beamtechs would perform as headlights. I know they're very good as foglights, so I was looking forward to read some feedback.

Do they fit well in the headlight housings? No interference opening and closing the doors? Could you please post some pictures showing the light pattern against your garage door and down the street?

Thanks!

No issues any more. Cycling the high beams did the trick. I don't want to have to do it all the time though so I will most likely install the resistors. Here is how it looks with both the low beam and the fog lights on:

I have an 02 and I can't provide a link because it seems they've discontinued the "S9" line at Auxbeam. However they have similar bulbs that are spec'd like mine at 60 watts with 8000 lumens like the S3 series. A step-up would be the "GT" series at 90 watts and 9000 lumens. I just found the best deal I could on eBay, but Auxbeam is very friendly and helpful to any one who owns their product.

not sure if yours will do it but if you turn off the lights before turning off the car they will act normally. At least mine do.
