Greetings!
I just finished rebuilding and painting my calipers. After bleeding my brakes I have a c1247 H C code. i searched the forum, unplugged the wire beneath the master cylinder, and cleared the code. When I plugged it back in, the code returned the abs stopped and the brake light returned. What can I do to clear this code and stop this low brake warning from coming on? Any help would be appreciated
I had this same problem when I bled my brakes. The light is on because the system obviously saw a low pressure condition.
My fix was to pump the brakes and I took it for a quick ride around the block.
The light went out and never came back.
Just my $.02
Thanks for the reply. I unplugged the sensor and did a few heavy stops to activate the ABS, but when I plugged it back up, the brake light came on and the traction assists light did too.I will keep plugging away.
Remove the connector and with an ohm meter see if you have continuity across the switch...if brake fluid level is LOW you will have continuity... with the reservoir being full the switch should be open !!...YOU SHOULD SEE NO CONTINUITY !!
I got it!
Thanks to all for your input. I checked the switch for continuity and found that it was grounded out. I then pumped the fluid out of the reservoir and used a pice of coat hanger the free up the magnetic ball . Then I checked the impedance and saw that it was clear. The light went out and we are in business. Thanks to all!
I just had the same problem after bleeding the brakes on my 03 Anniversary. I took it for a drive and hit the brakes pretty hard, and my brake light went off, and the low brake fluid level no longer came on. I cleared all the codes on the DIC when I got home, and all seems to be good now.
I got it!

Would you explain this a bit more about the magnetic ball?
I have a 1999 that is throwing the same code after having the parking brake serviced. I unplug the switch going into the master cylinder and the warning lights and code are gone. They return after plugging back in. They also go away after removing the sensor from the master cylinder (or even just unscrewing it about a quarter turn), so I believe the plug and sensor are OK.
