The hose from the throttle body is the fresh air supply and the hose with your finger on it and looks to have a hole in it is dirty crank case PCV air oil being pulled in by intake vacuum. That should be a reasonable sized vacuum leak you have going on there.

Okay thanks for the response. How urgent is this?

I would personally fix it today but that's just me. The computer is likely overcoming that vacuum leak if it's still driveable. You are also sucking dirt into the motor albeit a tiny bit.

Car is actually driving great, surprisingly. What’s my best course of action to go about fixing this? I want to take care of it asap. Thanks for the quick and helpful responses

You should be able to get a short piece of hose from the auto parts store and replace the little piece with the hole in it. Might want to just change the PCV valve while you are there if it's never been done.

Holy crap, that hose assembly whole is like 100 bucks. I would definitely try and fix it myself with a short piece of proper grade hose.

Yeah so what I did was use electrical tape around the hose. It stopped the hissing sound but I just hope that it doesn’t melt.

When you fix it disconnect the battery or the car will run very bad. The computer is compensating for the vacuum leak so once it is fixed the car wont run good.

Same thing happened to my 2002. Changed it out with a piece of 3/8 fuel line as that particular piece is not (I believe) available by itself. You have to purchase the complete pcv hose assembly @ + $90.00

If you don't want to buy the OEM replacement, you can get a Dorman brand PCV holder that is for a Ford and buy a piece of fuel line for the other side.

Get a Elite Engineering catch can which connects to that hose and replaces the small hose that plugs into the TB. Eliminate the problem plus stop oil from going into the TB.
