Default Oil leak

Bought 2000 C5 with 29000 miles. Took it on shake down run of 600 miles over the weekend. Very warm. Got home Sunday and put it in the garage. Checked car this am and saw oil on floor underneath the differential about the size of a jelly lid. Oil was heavy weight oil and clean. Most of the 600 miles was interstate with temp in the 90s. Thinking it is differential fluid/oil. Jacked car up could not see any wet spots on the car. Possibly extreme heat caused the differential to burp some oil thru the breather vent. Any input would be appreciated

Default Dif oil level is to high

Make sure the oil level is 1/4 below the fill hole. This will fix the oil from coming out the vent hole in top of dif. If you take out the plug and oil runs out this is the problem.

Thanks, I read up on rear end leaks and kinda figured that's what it is from. Will check level in AM.
