I've noticed that at times, the amber light in the AC button will flash for a minute or two when pushed. I read somewhere that this is indicating a low refrigerant charge. The AC does blow cold but if it's needing a charge, I'd just as soon get some in there since it's also a lubricant and a coolant for the compressor.
Yep, bring it to a shop to get it recharged. They should be able to tell you how much charge it needed - keep an eye on it; if it gets low again in a short while you have a leak that needs fixing. Of course, if it takes another 10 years to get low, it's not much of an issue

Thoughts?
Thanks!
If it only flashes when you push the button and then comes back on or goes out then there is nothing wrong with the system. It does this when you turn the compressor off.
