Default McLeod RXT - pedal feel

I have a blown 99 which I've been running an RST with a tick master and gm slave on for a couple of years. The combo has worked for that build just fine. The pedal is lightweight and easy, the engagement is high, and the ability to slip the clutch in normal traffic for easy driving is right on.

Now I also have a blown H/C 03 which has an RXT with the same tick master and gm slave combo. I did not get to drive the car very long or in varied settings before the engine blew (GM lifters - $13 parts worth replacing!). This one grabs just as high, but the engagement is a lot more on-off with a small window and almost no slip, then combined with needing moderate leg to move the pedal vs the other unit.

I am sure the engagement is just a matter of the different pressure plate material and not something I can alter or hope to change.

--> Is there a way to lighten the pedal pressure?

Given that the clutch is supposed to be identical between both units save for the pressure plates (or am I misinformed?) I should think the pedal pressure would have been equivalent.

I only had the RXT experience for a few days, so I didn't get a chance to fully get used to it. And I'm ok living with it if there's nothing to be altered. But I remember years ago having a Spec 3 clutch and getting stuck in Friday night stop-and-go from the GW in NYC all the way to Milford in CT for 5 hours and having to use my ARM to move my clutch leg by the time traffic began moving. If I can get the benefits of the grip and have less impact on me, I'm all for it.

Alternative question - what other clutches are available on the current market which can hold ~1000 hp and still be wicked easy to drive?

Check your clutch master cylinder size. Tick 3/4 would function as described for your RST. Tick 7/8 for the RXT.
