Headlight motor compatibility between generations

Does anyone know if the c4 headlight motors are physically capable to fit the c5? To me they look like the same motor as the c5 except for the wiring harness. I am thinking the wiring could be spliced into the c5 so long as the motor physically fits.
I'm looking at the motor here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/A-Premium-L...8AAOSwHF1b-Pwo
Any ideas?
Thank you!

when i hold that part of the motor securely, (gold in the pic below) it raises/lowers normally.
the gear is not the issue, so i've been making due by using a wedge to keep the motor tight.
the C4 motors look the same with different wiring so wanted to see if anyone has ever tried to use them on a C5.
for ~40 shipped i may end up as the guinea pig
In the meantime, what happened to yours is that the bent retaining tabs that hold the motor to the gear case got loose and the motor is moving in relation to the gear case. This causes gear-to-worm disengagement.
The tabs can be bent inward a bit by holding the motor on a vise and tapping the tabs in with a hammer and screwdriver or similar tool, until the motor is tightly secured to the gear case.

When I replaced the broken plastic gear on one of my motors, I had to resecure its tabs and everything has been perfect after that.
Your C4 motor idea is intriguing, nevertheless

Let me know how it goes.

the "firebird" motors are pretty cheap on ebay vs the "corvette" motors even though they're the same piece.
i'll grab a new one if the tab adjustment you mentioned doesn't fix me up, GCG.
