I’m having some kind of apparent driveline squeak coming from the rear end of my C5 Z06. Only does it in gear (any gear). I first noticed at low speeds when the car jerks a little when the driveline load and unloads from applying throttle or letting off throttle. I can replicate the sound by putting the car in gear and just pushing it back and forth, as in the video linked above. Any ideas?
The sound seems to be originating at the rear wheel. Much more on driver side but also some on passenger. Wheel bearings? Car has 98k miles on it. Once rolling I don’t get any odd sounds. Just when loading or unloading the drivetrain.
If it only does it when it's in gear it's not the wheel bearings. Torque tube bushings maybe?
Probably not torque tube. Torque tube was rebuilt last year and the sound is directly at the wheels, not centrally under the car to I feel comfortable saying probably
not transmission or torque tube. Could half-shaft joints be the culprit then?

Remove the wheel center cap and feel the axle nut to see if it moves slightly as you rock the car. Possibly has to do with the axle pop that some have experienced? My axle spline noise is different than yours, but matches the rocking effect shown in your video. Tomorrows project for me is to remove the large axle nut and lube the splines on the passenger side.
