Vacuum line to the actuator switch block, or perhaps it broke under the battery, in the typical location. You changed the electric blend door actuators, yes?
Hi. Did you replace both of the door actuators because of an issue with the dual climate? That's the problem i am currently having with my 2000 coupe - cool air out of the passenger vents and warm air out of the driver vents. I tried the trick of pulling fuse 27 but no luck. I read there may also be a torn or disconnected hose that will also affect the function of the actuator doors. Can anyone tell me where they are located before I start tearing the dash apart? Are they under the battery? Thanks.
I have read that there are hoses that can affect the operation of the actuator doors but can't locate them. Can anyone point me in the right direction? I really don't want to read the dash apart.
There are dozens of threads on this stuff, and Mr. Curlee has more information than I can contemplate, but basically there are two physical controls in the HVAC, both under the command of the HVAC controller. The vacuum system controls the air path, so defroster vs floor vs dash vents. The blend doors and electric actuators control the temperature of the air. So if the air is coming out of the wrong vents, you have lost the vacuum signal to the actuators, with the small plastic vacuum line hidden within the wiring harness broken somewhere beneath the battery by far the most common -- though not the only -- cause.
