C5 How to clean climate ductwork
I have a 98 Pace Car. The AC is cold but there is no velocity. Scanning the forum, i cleaned the udders. The drivers side was fine, just little stuff. The passengers side had more about 20% filled. I reach up into the exchange box and found a lot of stuff, from rug padding to wood chips. I got that all cleaned out. I then went in side the car and removed the fan. I used an inspection camera (about 3" long) to see inside the duct work. There is a bunch of matl the same as outside. It appears to be about 2" in from the fan housing. I have tried vacuuming, nylon brushes, compress air, but can't seem to clear the blockage. I noticed that on the left side of the duct work there are a set of fins, not sure if they are AC or the heater. There is a little debris at the base of the fins. Then further in is where there is a lot of debris that I can't seem to clear. Is there any other way to to get to the blockage?
