Clunk inside cabin/ around driver seat
when i make sharper turns or go over bumps, I hear a clunk clunk that seems to be coming from around/ under/ behind the Driver’s seat. Definitely sounds like it’s inside the cabin. It sounds like how a bad link would sound outside the car. But on the inside.
i checked the seat and all seems to be stiff and nothing out of place or loose. Anyone have similar noises/ found a solution before?
Try and repeatedly replicate the sound by driving the same way with a passenger and ask then to lean in and isolate the target area it is coming from. At least they may be able to confirm/deny a specific location like "It's DEFINITELY come from the back bottom of your seat" or "It's actually coming from somewhere in the hatch area."
You also said it is definitely coming from inside the cabin. Try and shake/move/shift the seats around. Because if it happens every time you go over a bump (up and down) and make a sharp turn) weight is shifted, Everything may appear tight, but still allow for 1/8th or 1/4 free play on one of the seats that is moving under the up/down or sharp turns shifting the weight.
Does it happen regardless if you make a sharp left or sharp right? Or only affected on sharp rights (seats lean left) Or a sharp left (seats will lean right). If it is on only one turn, say, sharp rights, then your body weight shifts to the left and may be possible it is lifting the seat just enough to hear the first clunk lifting up, and the second clunk is when the seat levels back out again moving back to position (or falling back down). Clunk, clunk.....the up and down motion of a seat?
Also, make certain your seat is locked into position. No forward or rearward movement.

The rear hatch glads has a curled wire for the centre defroster that connects to a metal tab in the perforated section of the black glass. Just juggling that around it hits the roof plastic trim and makes a noise almost exactly like the one I am trying to get to the bottom of.
i disconnnected it and tucked the plug/ wire into the gap between the trim and the roof. I never use the defroster anywahs as I only drive in summer.
Will report back after some driving!
