Default 50th Anneversary Tech questions (2nd try)

Ok, let's try this again (server ate my post :cuss ). I traded my 2000 C5 Coupe for a 2003 Anniversary Coupe  . Now I have some technical questions for those of you who have the 50'th or know the answer. Well most are technical anyway.
1) On the way home (long drive, 500 miles or so), I kept hearing a strange noise from the front of the car. I figure it was the air conditioning or air pump, but wanted to ask because I did not hear it on my 2000. Anyway sounded like a small starter motor spinning at high speed every so often. I heard it pretty much all the way home. However, I have not heard it since. Any ideas?
2) This new car has some serious power compared to my 2000. Maybe it's just a different curve, but I noticed it immediately. Possibly my old car was a dog, but I was just curious what others thought.
3) The car did not come with any wheel locks. They changed the nuts to a new style, which I like, but I would like some added security (well sort of I guess). I see they sell some, but they don't come with the car? Seems odd, anybody get locks with their car?
4) Is the 50th Anniversary Red a base coat / clear coat, or is it three layers like Mag Red and Millenium Yellow?
Thanks in advance for the answers...
