Default Texas Speed PRC 220 Heads

Anybody running these on their C5 with a 6 speed manual. Doing Cam and long tubes and I am considering using these heads after talking to the Texas speed consultant. Says they flow 310CFM@.600 lift. $1500 Shipped.

The heads also have much larger than stock valves.
2.045" Intake / 1.600" Stainless Valves

I read a thread where a guy at TSP put them on his C5 Z06 and picked up 30rwhp

Because the cylinder-filling on our smaller bore engines isnt as efficient as say an LS3 (which has similar head flow numbers to the PRCs) I wouldn't go too crazy of a cam, and try to get the 60cc combustion chambers for higher compression for my particular use of my car. If you go with too large of a cam, you'll run into clearance issues with the pistons, even though I'm sure it'd be happy to rev out that far with less compression.

I'm using the 228r/228 112

Okay I think that setup will make very strong power.
I'd go with the smallest cc chambers I could without valve interference

No problem! I'd be curious to see what kind of power you'd make.

I'd bet 410-420rwhp minimum, even more if you did an intake manifold and 90mm throttle body at 430-440rwhp. If you have Z06 open air ducts or the sort it will help as well
