Why do you want to store it? Going out of the country or something? It's only a car, heck just drive it.

Prior to putting it up I change the oil and filter, fill the tank, do a thorough cleaning in and out. To keep mice out I get a bottle of peppermint oil at Walgreens and put it on rags and throw them in the trunk, under seats, on the floor and under the hood near where cables and the steering column go thru the firewall. I also put peppermint oil on rags and put them in the spokes of the wheels lowest to the floor. Mice have to start somewhere to get in the Vette and the wheels are as good as any ladder for a mouse. On top of that I get a box of 100 dryer sheets and just throw them under the hood, in the trunk and on the seats and floor. In the spring she is minty and has been mouse free for years doing this. I hook up a Battery Tender Jr and put the cover on. I don’t jack it up or worry about the suspension. It’s always on its wheels ready to start in case of a fire. I have non run-flats and any flat spots are gone in the first few miles in the spring. Good luck with your Vette.

Pull it in garage ,put trickle charger on it. Done. Nothing special about these cars. Like nmbsun mentioned

I got injured, car sat in the garage for 2yrs with a trickle charger. When it was time to drive it again, started it and drove it. Did Not even change the oil or anything . Was surprised the tires didn't even need air.

I kept the worn-out, OE tires on the OE rims, when I bought my aftermarket wheels and new tires, and my C-5 sits on them during the winter. Other than that, I cover it, and toss a charger on it every 7-10 days, depending on how often I'm clearing the driveway with the snowblower, therefore in that bay of the garage. However, since my garage is attached to my house, I will non keep any sort of charger on it, 24/7.

I drive mine year round but, if I didn't, I would adhere to GroundFlyer's recommendation

Here in Michigan's Upper Peninsula I do three things for winter storage which goes from Nov first until May first -1. Run the gas tanks down to about empty 2. Add gas stabilizer and top off tank 3. Fire up the Battery Tender Plus trickle charger. That's it . My storage garage is not heated. Has worked well since 2002 when I bought the car.

Gas stabilzer, fill tank, change oil and filter, remove the battery (and keep it in the garage). Starts up every spring. Been doing it this way for over 15 years.

All good advice above, Also put socks or something stronger on the exhaust pipes so mice can't climb in for the winter. They might chew on the socks.

1) change oil
2) clean car
3) park on carpet squares (actually done year round as it helps as a parking aid too)
4) spray peppermint oil on carpet squares and put cotton ***** with peppermint oil in car
5) chock wheels
6) place manual transmission in neutral with parking brake off
7) attach battery maintainer
8) put note on speedometer reminding of wheel chocks and battery maintainer
9) full tank of gas

I guess I am lucky living in the South west, we do receive snow a few times during winter, and that is the only time I don't drive because of the salt and cinder they use on the roads. Don't think I could handle not being able to drive my vette all winter long.

Irish Spring hand/body soap will work like the peppermint oil and is reusable for several years. Buy a couple of bars,, make 3 or 4 pieces out of each bar and distribute them in the car (under hood, inside, in cargo area, and a couple of pieces underneath. Camper/5th wheel owners have done this for years.
