Was about to change plugs on my 2000 C5. Bought new AC delco professional Iridium plugs.. They are all gapped out of the box at .04. Manual says gap .06. Should I re-gap to .06? Also see differing torque settings from different sources. Is 15lbs torque correct?
Thanks a million!
Cold air intake and axel back Borla exhaust is all, So Assume I'm good to go with .04 gap. Thanks for your help!
Still wonder if 15 lbs torque sounds right.
Funny as I've never torqued plugs. Just snug them up and go. But picked up new torque wrench and maybe just looking to find excuse to justify purchase :-)
Although maybe I should with those aluminum heads.
Thanks! Plugs and gap good then. 11 lb torque good to know. Was concerned about that with the aluminum heads. Will go 11 lb instead of 15. Much rather have a plug come loose than stress/strip 8 plug holes! Tiny amount of anti seize as I understand too much can throw off torque reading.
Thanks again.
