Do I still need an interface?
I’m considering a stereo upgrade from what I have now. Long story short I have a 4 channel amp with the Metra Axxess XSVI-2004 and my single din head unit. The important factor is that I’m now using the head unit’s amp for the rear speakers. I am considering a 5 channel amp (+ double din head unit) and then I’d run new rear speaker wires, which means the Axxess XSVI-2004 is only providing power and such. No more connection to the Bose equipment.
Can i I eliminate the Axxess XSVI-2004? I have the classic problem that it has a delay to power up the head unit so I’m frustrated by it anyway. I saw this: https://www.corvettemods.com/C4-C5-C...oaAuKqEALw_wcB and thought maybe I could get rid of the interface. Is this doable? What are the trade offs?
