TPMS disable

I have no interest in the tpms system on my 2000 c5. Does anyone know if a person with a tech2 who knows how to operate it can disable the tpms or at least the dis messages? Thansk, Paulo

Just hit the reset button when the message is displayed. It won't display again until the engine is restarted.

The TPMS system can be disabled with a Tech 2. I know because when I bought my 2004 the TPMS system was disabled. I had it turned back on when I put on new non run flat tires and new Schrader TPMS sensors. The shop that I went to has a GM Tech 2 and it took them 2 minutes to do it.

The TPMS can only be disabled on the 2001 to 2004 Corvette, the earlier models included it in the non-programmable part of the PCM. It does require a Tech 2 to perform that procedure. Your 2000 will not turn off. It is now part of my automatic start up procedure on my 2000 (to hit the reset button).
