Hi! I'm new to his Forum and need help. Just put new tires on with new Schrader TPMS #28006 and can not get them to read with car. Back in 2014 I saw thread on 97 to 04 and how the TPMS were not the same. along with the key fobs. IN the thread a 2000 vett. should have a key fob #19299230 to mach with the receiver and the TPMS sence they use the same receiver. In researching I found that I have a 2001 key fob #25695954 now would that mean someone would have to changed receiver in the car. and then I would need to put in a newer TPMS in the tires? Thanks for any help you can give.
Hi,
I need some more help. I haven't fixed the problem yet. I have 2001 key fobs according to the part # with my 2000 Corvette. I replaced the tpms sensors with 2001 sensors. I can get LF to beep but that's it. My key fobs do work. The tire store's tool reads all 4 senors as "accepted" and indicates tire pressure, but the car will only train LF tire. I have tried letting air out of tires and using magnets, but same result. Does anyone have any suggestions to offer? Greatly appreciated.
So does the sensor work or the car just stops at RF sensor. What sensors are currently installed? Many of the new sensors require a tool to place the sensor in learn mode. My sensors claimed they were programmable with a magnet but were not. I had to buy a $10 tool from Amazon and all was fine.
Thanks for your reply.
The LF activates then stops at RF. The sensors are ITM TPMS Uni-sensor Duo.. The company claims they are pre-programmed. What tool from Amazon did you buy?
Thanks.
I also had to buy a tire programming magnet from Amazon. I also read on this forum that sometimes you must take the car out and travel at + 40 mph for at least 3 minutes and the sensors will work. I had the very same issue that you have in that I couldn't progress past a certain tire. I took the car out and did the required MPH trick, came back and used the very strong magnet on the tire valves and voila! All worked as they should. Give it a shot and come back and let us know how you make out. GOOD LUCK!
Thanks for your reply.

I used the VXSCAN EI50448. It was $9.99 on Amazon. My universal sensors were supposed to be programed with the magnet but a magnet did not work. The VXSCAN tool did work for me. The tire store should have been able get the sensor into learn mode. Maybe the sensor is defective.
