Glad you found the problem and everything is fine now
Quite a relief that your original alternator was good and you kept it! There was a possibility that was the case, especially with so many replacements "failing" one after the other in a similar way. That's why I suggested that, since it had been removed from the car, to take it to an autoparts store to properly bench-test it under load, so you could know for sure its "state of health"
Thanks! And yes it was a relief to keep original. My new issue is while driving it back to work on my lunch break thr guages on the dash totally died. Radio working fine. Car driving fine. Dash just totally went out. After parking i tried to restart and it cranked rifht up but dash didng budge. Ugh always something
When I lefy work last night, all guagea were back working. Otw to gym and back and few trips today for work all working perfect still as well. Been a headache and MUCH bigger financial expense than i ever anticipated BUT i LOVE this corvette and am just damn happy to have it back.

I am not going to continue to beat a dead horse, but i was qrong. The troublea are not quite over. Car ran fine and all things worked otw to work, between work branches, otw home and then otw to the gym. But otw home from gym the guages were ALL 100% DEAD and the power windows also were dead. The car ran and the headlights ran well as did the internal dash lights etc. Hatch works fine as did radio. Any idea what could be causing this? Have yet to check any fuses.
I feel your pain, but don't give up! This kind of intermittent problems are the worst. Take a look at this Post for some ideas.
Thank you so much! I will seriously use all of this info in my troubleshooting! The windows and guages working like a charm this morning otw to work so I am assuming it is a wire issue like the one in the post you provided.
