Hey gang. I just replaced my window regulator. I looked over several threads and videos about adjustment. I have the window adjusted pretty well and seals good against the weatherstripping when I shut the door. However. If I'm in the car, roll the window down, then back up, it seems to hit that tab at the top center and doesn't seal properly. If I open the door then shut it, it seals properly. Any advice? Thanks.

Sounds like you need the service manual pages to get the procedure for adjusting the window position. Sounds like it's in too far at the bottom, thus holding it out while you roll it up. But if you close the door, it presses in fine. Pretty hard to diagnose from across the internet and 1000 miles away, but obviously one area is too tight while the other is not tight enough. I'm guessing the weatherstrip at the bottom is influencing it too much as the window moves up and down.
you can't tilt the top of the window in with the adjustment at the bottom of the door ??? I adjusted my door(top hinge) in cause my adjustment was maxed !!!!

Yeah my adjustment is pretty close to max as well. I'll tinker with it some more and see what I can work out. Just wanted to see if anyone had a specific answer from being in this same situation.
i changed mine about a year ago and one of the instructions were to make sure you index the glass in its factory position( where it sits in the clamps at the bottom) before removing it. helps you reinstall it in exact position for height and width placement. final check on in and out adjustment at top when in up position is to slide a dollar bill between glass and rubber seal to ensure a snug fit. properly done you shouldn't have any rain or wind issues, hopefully!!!
