Let me start with just showing 1 or 2 plugs.

I've had a few worse but bare in mind plugs last a few months for me. Also this is a very recent swap and 1 week later meaning right this very moment, 1 rear o2 sensor has failed.
the replacement looks normal, the ones you took out look like sh*t... looks like there is oil on the threads as well, does it use oil or smoke?
The condition of the replacement was only 4 days after the one that looks like sh*t. I'm thinking it had to do with the o2 going bad.
No smoke unless i punch it but happens every now and then, yes it uses oil but not enough to say "time to rebuild" thats why im rebuilding the heads and excited to see what they look like and i know its very bad. I'm thinking the valve seals are wasted but then also thinking the piston rings are almost done.
That's what I'm thinking. I just got the replacement o2 and will install and run the car for a few days, I'm at the point to just pull the heads off now and dont wait.
But i wounder if the new o2 will make a difference so we shall see.
New pix: spark plug hole # 2 cylinder and plug. You can see the oil on the base of the threads from the plug. I have a total of 3 plugs that foul and is getting worse, these 3 plugs are being sprayed with oil and i have an odd smell when i punch it.No sign of any oil leaks around the heads
In another thread we spoke of compression and/or leak down -- did you find your numbers from when you measured compression? I'm all for going through a motor -- just for fun even -- but there is always risk, and lots of motors with similar mileage holding up for many more miles.

I haven't even had time to look for the compression number and already began to tear down earlier today. Found a rotted hose and i didnt expect it but regardless this needs a rebuild and ive quite a few but with old sbc. Thank goodness these heads are lighter than iron heads.
