Default Memory Seats - "Lost their Memory"

Just bought my first Corvette...found a 2004, very low mileage "Cream Puff". Programmed the 2 separate seat memory settings, which worked for a few days...then/now won't hold any previous/new memory positions. If adjustments are made to seat settings, after ignition, then the Auto-Exit...returns to all home positions once ignition is off and key removed. As it is a 16 year old vehicle, I suspect a battery is dead someplace that backs up these memory settings...I do not suspect faulty parts/computers. Does the driver door PC board have something like this onboard...to store these settings and upload them to the vehicles main computer at ignition start?

Are you following one of the two methods on page 2-57 & 58 of the manual? Attached below

Yes I did follow those steps, but it doesn't seem to retain the memory settings now...like it did when I originally programmed both setting 1 & 2, which was 2 months ago. Recent settings seem to work fine, until I turn off the engine & then restart it later.

I would first check if there are any codes set or if there is no communication to the seat control module and go from there. Do you know how to read fault codes using the DIC (driver information center)? You will be looking for anything associated with SCM (seat control module). The SCM is located under the driver seat. My guess is a flaky connection somewhere under the seat
