Default Over heating issue

I have a 99 C5, just had the coolant flushed and refilled now the temp on the car floats between 205 and 225 even after an easy drive. Before the coolant change it never got above 190.

Anyone have ave an idea what the issue might be?

Did they “burp” the system or just fill it up? The higher temps could be caused by air being trapped in the system.

Who did the coolant flush and refill? Agree with Road Runner that whoever did the work didn’t get all the air out of the system.

I have owned my 2004 since new. I find the best way to drain is to remove thermostat fitting! Check thermostat operation. Measure that you get at least 3 gallons of fluid back in the system. Radiator drain just does not seem to do it. (What a goofy drain.)
I put a Murray 187 degree thermostat in last week. Overheat problems went away. O'Reillys has them. Stainless steel made in Israel.
