I have a 2002 C5 Z06. Last year, I began experiencing intermittent turn signal operation, both L and R. It is getting worse. While following me, my wife noticed that when the turn signal is not working, the brake light on that side does not come on, but the other side brake lights work.
The Emergency Flasher works OK regardless if the turn signals are working or not.
The Manual shows no Turn Signal relay, and there are only four fuses inside the passenger floorboard fuse panel that relate to Turn Signals and the Emergency Flasher.
Does the C5 have a relay somewhere or flasher module that is not mentioned in the Manual?

If it were only one side, then it would probably be the multifunction switch (MFS).
When the problem is affecting both sides, then it's probably the Hazard Switch going bad. In a C5 the turn signal and hazard functions are provided by the hazard switch.
You can replace the hazard switch, but a Hyperflash Harness should fix your problem and is easier to install. As an added bonus, it will allow you to install LEDs in the future with no hyperflashing.
A hyperflash harness replaces the portion of the hazard switch that handles the turn signals with a flasher that's LED friendly. Hazards will still hyperflash because that function remains untouched in the OEM hazard switch.
Checkthis one out. It's completely plug-and-play: no splicing or anything.
Hey everyone, thanks for all the tips. I ordered the HyperFlash, and watched a YouTube how-to and it looks like an easy DIY job.
The drill-a-hole and squirt contact cleaner method also looks like it might work. But I would think the actual flasher module inside the switch would not be affected by any cleaner???

This works for a short period, but eventually it will fail completely and you will need to replace the Hazard.
