Default Code P1516

Hey guys. I have a 1999 C5 with a Maggie supercharger.
So I had a previous post that I can’t find where I was having issues with a couple of TPS codes.
Now only code I have is p1516 which refers to tac module.
I see that they are discontinued and can only order used.
will a TAC module solved issue of car going into reduced power and abs and traction control lights.

Any help works, thank you!

A p1516 does not necessarily mean the TAC is bad. first thing to do is to look at the throttle body and see if there is gunk on the throttle blade and the body where it seats, and at the shaft. Clean it carefully with throttle body cleaner, clear the code and see if it goes away. The brown gunk is varnish from evaporated fuel and PCV residue. Be careful cleaning it, don't just spray the cleaner in there, put it on a lint-free rag and try to wipe it away. What might be happening is that when you step on the pedal you are asking for the TB blade to move, and the gunk hangs it up giving a different actual position vs the expected position.

That's why swapping out one from a used parts source often works. They did the cleaning for you before sending it to you.

With a maggie you get a lot more blow by and IIRC the PCV line is before the TB so some PCV gases are going by the TB blade. Of course if you have a catch-can, sometimes they can make it just as bad.
