It is my understanding that most if not all tire manufactures have stopped making the correct size tire for a C5 ZO6 wheel. I am looking for suggestions for somthing close for the front wheel that will protect the wheel and not have the side wall fold in as seen in the attached photos.
A 275/40 will fit but some say the sidewalls look a bit tall in comparison to the rears. I'd find a set of 18" rears put them on the front and go with 18's on all 4 corners. 275/35/18 front, 295/35/18 rear.
Anytime- I have run that 18" setup on my 01 Z and there were no issues. Understand that the offset of the 18's on the front poke them out ever so slightly from the front fenders. However, it opens you up to a world of tire choices. Some have even run 295/35 or larger on all 4 corners and truly can rotate the tires front to back.
Now with my 04 Z, I'm about to do the same thing as I bought an additional set of polished Z Speedlines to match my existing wheels. Good luck!
Byte are you running the 10” wide wheel in this setup? If so are you saying that spacers will,or will not be needed?
Thanks Again!
18x10.5 on the front. Yes, basically the rear Z06 OEM rim on all 4 wheels. The offset is not the same as the stock 17" wheel, and they will poke out of the fenders ever so slightly. It's not terrible, and when I did my alignment, I added 1.5° negative camber on the front to tuck them in better.
No spacers needed.
If you do a forum search, search for "square setup" you will be enlightened! Lol
Byte,
My C5 is a base model coupe and you mentioned you put this setup on your "Z"....... Just checking if there is a difference in the base model vs the "Z" model that would cause interference issues with the Z06 18" front wheel? I am very interested in this setup just want to make sure about it befor I make the purchase of the wheels and tires.

Thanks again you have been a real help!
I have only done or read about this on a Z06. The rims/tires on a Z are wider than a base, but I'm not sure if anything else is different as far as overall width of the car is. I'd assume the only thing different is the offset of the wheels themselves as I have seen Z06 wheels on coupes.
I don't know if anyone has done a square setup in a coupe- but it's worth a search.
