Open the hood and take a look at the headlight motors. In the rear end of each motor there's a rubber cap. Remove it, and below the cap there's a ****. With the headlighs OFF, manually rotate the **** until the headlight door just begins to open and then go and switch the headlights ON.
If doing that results in both headlights opening as they should, you probably just need new bump stops. Check the link I gave you above to Post 2 in that other thread for more details and for links to purchase the bump stops.
I manually rotated the **** and the headlight door opened. I then turned on the switch and both headlights popped up. They also retracted when turned off.
This solved my issue temporarily. Now, I'll look further for a permanent solution.
